康桥*升级留级制度-美高课程体系

        Student placement policies are based on the philosophy that students benefit most from an educational program appropriate to their academic ability and their physical and social development.

        本制度从学生受益的角度出发并综合考量学生身心成长。

        Most students will make normal progress and will be promoted to the next grade level.However, special individual circumstances may indicate a need for student retention.

        大多数同学经过努力达到进入下一年级要求顺利升级，但是遗憾的是有部分同学必须通过留级来巩固学业。

        All academic classes are equally important at KCISEC. Grades earned in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Chinese, swimming, and other elective courses receive equal emphasis when promotion or retention are considered.

        康桥开设的每一门课程都同等重要，英文、数学、社会科学、汉语、游泳等等课程都是升级与留级的重要考量点。

The following policies makes up the minimum academic expectations of KCISEC students:

以下内容明确了学生升入下一年级的最基本要求：

        Grades 9 – 11：

        政策范围：9-11年级学生

        To be promoted to the next grade level, students must meet the following criteria:

        G9-G10: Achieve a GPA of 2.0 or higher by the end of the academic year.

        9,10年级学生，凡取得GPA大于等于2.0者 则顺利进入下一年级学习；

        G11: Achieve an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher by the end of the academic year.

        11年级学生，凡取得总评GPA大于等于2.5者则顺利进入下一年级学习；其中总评GPA只自9年级起的年度GPA的算术平均数。

RETENTION

留级政策

        Retention is intended as a means to improve the student’s potential success in the future and is not a punitive measure.

        留级制度旨在帮助学生更好的应对未来，绝非一项惩罚措施。

        A G9-G10 student will not advance to the next grade level if they have less than a 2.0 GPA.

        9年级、10学生学生如果GPA低于2.0则留级。

        A G11 student will not advance to next grade level if they have less than a 2.5 overall GPA.

        11年级学生如果总评GPA低于2.5则留级。

        When retention is indicated, the following procedures will be followed:

        The Language Center will provide corner learning, peer tutoring, and other special programs to help students to improve their academic performance.

        语言中心通过角落教学、同侪教学、特殊项目来帮助学生提供成绩。

        At the end of the 3rd quarter, parents of failing students will be notified of possible class retention. Parents will be informed of the reasons for retention and they will be involved in the process to resolve the situation.

        在第二学期期中考试结束之后的第二周，可能留级的学生于家长将被通知这一潜在可能性。同时学校要求家长共同参与帮助孩子尽力避免留级。
